How the calculator works
This tool works out the average price you need to get per trading card to cover the cost of a sealed TCG box, and what your projected profit looks like based on your own price estimate.
- Break-even price per trading card: The average sale price per card, after fees and shipping, that covers your box cost exactly — sell for less than this on average and you lose money.
- Your expected average sale price: Your own estimate of what the trading cards will realistically fetch — this drives the profit projection.
- Platform fee & flat fee: The cut a marketplace takes from each card sale. Selecting a platform fills in a typical rate, which you can adjust.
- Shipping cost per card: What it costs you to send each trading card to a buyer.
- Net profit: Total revenue at your estimated price, minus all fees, shipping, and the original box cost.
- ROI: Net profit as a percentage of your box cost.
